This is a three percent increase compared to April in the number of Alaska land and property for sale. Of the 29 counties in Alaska, Fairbanks North Star Borough had the most land for sale. There were 351 acres of sold land in Alaska recorded last month through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects an increase in sales activity over data from the previous month. Matanuska-Susitna Borough had the most land sales recently in the state. Alaska is the country's largest state, covering an area of 656,424 square miles (420 million acres). Game species to be found on land for sale in Alaska include bear, moose, elk, and mule deer. Anglers have their pick of salmon and trout.
